This week on TALK! with AUDREY: Thousands of service members have been returning from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom with injuries that have been called the “signature wounds” of Iraq and Afghanistan. CRAIG ROBERTS, Spokesperson for The AMERICAN LEGION joins me to talk about issues of importance to veterans and military families and what The American Legion can do to help.

About: The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans’ service organization.  Founded in 1919 and today comprising 2.4 million members, the Legion maintains about 14,000 local posts nationwide, whose members are involved in community-based support of veterans, service members and their families. Legion departments in each state employ service officers who assist veterans with disability benefit claims, GI Bill benefits, discharge upgrades, and other services.
